Family History Book Printing.

About Family History Books

Without a doubt Family History books are the most popular type of book that we print. And it makes sense. As the old saying goes, write about what you know. Our lives are literally shaped by our own family’s history. It’s no wonder that so many people spend years gathering information and perspective about their ancestry.

Once all of those historical documents are found, verbal histories recorded, and timelines and relationships established, it takes even more time to bring the materials together. Then there’s the typesetting, design and layout to consider.

And now everyone’s least favorite part, figuring out who to trust to print your legacy. After all, you’ve never before printed a book – you don’t feel confident that you even know what questions to ask. Not to worry, we can walk you through the process, answer all of your questions and fill in any blanks.

FROM OUR CUSTOMER

I have worked with quite a few printers in my career but rarely have any matched the level of personal service I found with Christine and the other people at Advanced.

They took time to understand what I wanted to accomplish with my project, instead of just pricing the work. Once they understood what I was trying to do, they were able to suggest several ideas that made the outcome significantly better. I recommend them highly.

POPULAR OPTIONS

  • DUST JACKET

Dust Jackets are meant to add protection to the cover. They also add great visual impact for casebound books, helping them to pop when laying on a table or tucked away on a bookshelf.

  • LAMINATION

Lamination adds a strong layer of protection to your book's cover. In addition to visual appeal, lamination can add a tactile quality to your book. Ask about our Soft Touch lamination option.

  • FOIL STAMP

Aside from standard gold or silver foil, there is a wide variety of specialty foils from which to choose. Give us a call to discuss your many options.

  • EMBOSS

No other option has as much impact as a well executed emboss on your cover. Subtle, refined and very next level – use a quality emboss to really stand out.

  • END BANDS

End bands are the perfect way to add that finishing touch to your hardcover book. These are the multi color ribbons that you see at the top and bottom of a book's spine.

  • SMYTH SEWN

Today's hardcover books are crafted using modern equipment and materials to achieve incredible durability. A traditional binding technique however still offers unprecedented resilience. Smythe sewing is common in Library Binding for books that will see years of heavy use.
